I hiked to Lake Valhalla on Friday, Oct 9, 2009 to catch the fall colors using my Fuji S6000fd camera on a monopod.  The trail was Smithbrook to the Pacific Crest Trail at 1.5 miles.  Then south along the Pac Crest Trail for 2 miles to Lake Valhalla.   I was the first hiker to the lake today, but around twenty others came after I arrrived!   I wonder how many would be on the trail over the weekend!  The colors were past their prime, but still impressive.  Enjoy the modest selection  of images I've posted here, and I'll welcome any comments.
